hurry and pleasure

salve a tutti,
a week passed by and I worked too much, or better I worked without pleasure...
thats very hard! I love make things, create something with fiber, wood ,earth .....
but when I "have to do this " (beceause I 'must' finish something) it becomes very hard. I loose my good feelings about my work, hurry up and make mistakes .. and thats never a good thing.
so I finished a gift and decided to have a break.for some days....  it lasts only 24 h!!(I cant' be without creating something!)
BUT after a month ,Yesterday it was th first time I made something only for pleasure! without any reason or end date to keep or somthing else... only for joy. that was great, wonderfull!!
summertime it's the hardest time for me- its too hot and there are no habits, rules... all is out of order for about 3 months...kids are Always around, all day long and there is  much to do in the house and garden, made jam, preserve the food that we have grown , clean up the pool, make hay for the animals.... and-so-on-and-so-on...
in sept when the school starts again there  will be a totaly different rhythm.. there will be no more time for anything else then school and Learning. its realy extreme -especially for me.(I like to have fixed habits)...
but every year it becomes better.
so, now I will stop talking and show my latest works, they are not perfect (like I wanted to have) but I learned much about my limits- of time ( I must take more time to create and not hurry up)
of listening to myself and take me seriously. when I have an intuition-(I feel something).... its the right way, when I start to think about it , shure that I will mess it up.

this is another little basket. thanks to rike b. http://www.fleckchensquilt.blogspot.it/ for this great idea!!! I made this with the stichandslash -method from craftsy course.

this is a cushion cover - also a gift

and!!!!this is a work made from our littlest one (7 years) that I'm quilting now-only for pleasure!
the next pleasure -from Laura (our 2. one-9 years)
this is the first bag made from  Laura.. next days we will finished it up..

that's all for this week. sunday we start for our real hollidays and go with our camper/mobile home
in the mountains to seek for some colder air and see some green (here is all brown and yellow- gras, Leaves, earth... it's toooo dry.)
have a good time

hollidays

after a long time working hard in garden and house, relaxing in the pool, sewing a bit and try to have fun with our kids , it is time to post my newest things i made (last weeks I was too lazy to sit ours and ours on the PC to try to came out with a new post). I'm at the beginning and there are soooooooo much things I have to learn and I want to learn and there is so little time for all- sometimes it's soo overwhelming...)
first: my very first bag/tute for a friend of mine and its so easy to made that I think I will made more of them.

next is a bag for cerimonial objekts (also for a friend)

she didn't know it yet and I hope that she will enjoy it.  oh, I'm allways in troubble when I finished a work (or whatever) and all doubts came out at once: will she like it? will it be the right thing/color/size/theme? is the quality of my stiches good enough? and all such things... I know that the Others would never ever critisize my works as I do... and all of them seams so exited about my sewing-works.... but when I compare my works with someone like Leah Day or Crazymomquilts or so I can see that I'm on the very beginning. and I know that I have to be very patient with me and also very gentil..... so I 'm Always very happy about somone who whrite some comments (good ones!!!!!). It makes me feel like a part of somthing bigger then my little room with my little sewing machine and my little time to sew and I'm also very glad to take part of this great comunity of woman (and man) they create such marvelous things with their hands....thanks.
next: finaly finished thae upper part of a -how to call it-'chair'maybe? and this work came out good.

so thats all for today. hope you will enjoy it!
have a good time....
